1. Munsiyari
A small and gorgeous town in Himalayas, Munsiyari is almost 127 km from Pithoragarh. A paradise of wild flowers, lake and other raw form of nature, it is also said to be the gateway to Himalayan range's Johar region. Munsiyari is also the originating place of the River Gori Ganga.
2. Nagmandir, Berinag
Situated uphill at a distance of 100 km from Pithoragarh, Nag Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Surrounded by thick cover of lush green trees and a picturesque ravine, it offers a splendid view and has a myth attached to it.
As per the story goes, this temple was named by 'Pants' of Maharashtra who witnessed many colourful snakes in the area. One can also see several figures of snake in the temple including the face of temple which is also in the form of snake.
3. Gangolihat
Gangolihat is a place completely enriched with ancient culture and legendry myths. Situated at a distance of 77 km from Pithoragarh, the major attraction of the place is Mahakali Temple devoted to Lord Shiva.
4. Didihat
Tucked away in the eastern corner of Uttarakhand, Didihat is a wondrous and pristine hillock full of natural beauty. The place is known for its ruins of forts and temples belonging to an era gone by as well for being a halting point on the Kailash Mansoravar Yatra. Situated at an altitude of 1800 meters in the Pithoragarh district of eastern Uttarakhand, Didihat is blessed with infinite natural beauty and some great viewpoints of the Mighty Himalayas.
5. Arjuneswar Temple
Arjuneswarar Koil is situated on the banks of Amaravathi River in Kadathur. This has the tallest Swayambhu Lingam in the Kongu Region. Swayambhu Lingams manifest on its own i.e. not made by man. They appear suddenly or mysteriously without any human efforts.
